Gregg's Goes Pink to Fight Breast Cancer

Tuesday, 26 October 2010

Gregg's has joined forces with the world's most favourite board game - Monopoly - to fight breast cancer in New Zealand.

The iconic kiwi company has dealt real money to the New Zealand Breast Cancer foundation, by 'buying' Princes Street on a new-look Monopoly: Pink Ribbon Edition board, contributing to the charity's largest-ever single pink product donation of $112,027.

The New Zealand Monopoly Pink Ribbon Edition - which features a number of kiwi organisations on street names in towns and cities throughout New Zealand - coincides with the game's 75th anniversary. Resplendent in pink, the game follows the same 'buying, selling and negotiating properties in the quest to own it all' rules that have made it one of the country's favourite board games. NZ Monopoly Pink Ribbon Edition goes on sale from 29 September.

New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation's Executive Trustee, Heather Shotter commented that Gregg's has not only demonstrated generosity but also good leadership.

Kiwis can join with the contributing organisations to make the donation even greater; proceeds from each Pink Monopoly game sold will go to the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation's Community Outreach Programmes, supporting women living with breast cancer.

To celebrate, we are giving away 7 Monopoly Pink Ribbon Edition board games.
