Gregg's Ground Paprika

Gregg's Ground Paprika

Paprika is a sweet, non-pungent species of the capsicum family and is native to South America, however is used extensively in Hungarian and Spanish cuisine. The long tapering fruits vary in colour from rich red to a dark reddish-brown. The powdered spice is made by drying and grinding the seeded ripe fruit.

Gregg's Paprika is mild and sweet with rich, velvet-red colour. Its subtle, sweet flavour is compatible with hot and spicy dishes, although it will also enhance mild casseroles and soups. It is used to provide a rich, red colour to dishes and is often used as a garnish, sprinkled on eggs, hors d'oeuvres and salads. Paprika is a particularly good partner for potatoes, chicken, fish and pork dishes.
