Gregg's Sesame Seeds
Native to Indonesia and tropical Africa, sesame seeds are
harvested by hand and are small, flat and oval and range in colour
from creamy white to black.
Sesame seeds have a rich, nut-like flavour when toasted and are
highly aromatic with buttery tones and pleasant popping texture.
The seeds are commonly used as a sprinkle on bread, similarly to
poppy seeds, and for flavour and texture in stir-fries and in
Middle Eastern desserts and spice blends such as za'atar and
dukkah.
