even the kids will love.
Ingredients
- 500g beef steak, trimmed of fat
- 12 bamboo or metal skewers
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
Satay Sauce
- vegetable spray oil, for cooking
Method
To prepare beef
Cut the steak into long strips approximately 3cm wide and thread
onto bamboo or metal skewers. Arrange in a glass or ceramic
dish, or line a tray with baking paper. Drizzle with soy
sauce and leave to marinate while preparing satay sauce.
To prepare satay sauce
Place satay sauce ingredients in saucepan and heat, stirring
continuously until all ingredients are well combined. Simmer
gently for 2 - 3 minutes or until sauce thickens. Remove from
heat.
To cook
Heat a barbecue hot plate or frying pan and spray with a little
oil. Cook skewers for a few minutes on each side until
cooked.
To serve
Brush each skewer with some of the satay sauce, covering well,
before arranging on a serving platter. Serve alongside the
remaining satay sauce, for dipping.
