Fulfil your chocolate fantasy with our coffee choc self saucing
pudding. This dessert treat is truly decadent - crunch on the
outside with a fudgy chocolate centre.
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups self raising flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 2/3 cup caster sugar
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 Tbsp Gregg's Rich Roast Instant Coffee
- 100g dark cooking chocolate, broken into pieces
- 3/4 cup milk
- 90g butter
Chocolate Sauce
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
Method
Preheat oven to 180°C.
Grease a deep 2 ¼ litre ovenproof dish.
Sift the flour and cocoa powder into a large bowl. Mix in the
sugar, then add the egg.
Place the Gregg's Rich Roast Instant Coffee, chocolate, milk and
butter in a saucepan and cook over low heat until melted. Add to
the flour and mix well then spoon into dish.
Place the brown sugar and cocoa powder in a bowl and pour water
over. Stir to dissolve then gently pour over the pudding.
Bake for 50 minutes.
Serve with freshly whipped cream, custard or hokey pokey ice
cream.
