Magic Crumble Bars

Sweet and delicious, this slice is simple to make. Be creative and vary the recipe by using your favourite dried fruit and nut variations.

Makes 24 - 30 bars

Ingredients

  • 1 packet Gregg's Classic Crumble Mix
  • 50g butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped dried apricots
  • 1 cup long thread coconut
  • 1 cup sliced almonds
  • 397g can sweetened condensed milk

Method

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Grease and line a 27cm x 18cm x 3cm tin well.

Place the crumble mix in a bowl and stir in the butter. Press evenly into the tin.

Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the crumble mix, then top with the apricots, coconut and almonds. Pour the condensed milk evenly over the top.


Bake in the preheated oven for 30 - 35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.

Stand the tin on a rack and loosen the sides from the tin while still warm.

When cold, cut into bars
