Meatballs in Spicy Tomato Sauce

Everyone loves meatballs, and these ones are no exception.  Full of flavour, this easy recipe is a great family mid-week meal.

Ingredients

Method

Combine the mince, Gregg's Homestyle Stuffing Mix and egg in a bowl. Mix well. Shape into approximately 24 meatballs, 3cm in diameter.

Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium high heat. Add the meatballs and brown, tossing frequently then remove from the pan and set aside.

Add the onion and Gregg's Crushed Garlic to the pan and cook for 3 minutes or until the onion is soft. Add the tomatoes, water, Gregg's Tomato Paste, Gregg's Chilli Seasoning, Gregg's Cinnamon and sugar to the pan and bring to the boil, stirring.  Add the meatballs.

Cover the pan and simmer over a low heat for 10 - 15 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked.

Season with freshly ground Gregg's Black Peppercorns and parsley,  before serving with pasta of your choice and a fresh green salad.

    Too much chilli for the kids - next time around will use less chilli.
