Passionfruit Flan

A quick and easy flan, perfect when entertaining guests, as part of an afternoon tea or as an appetising dessert.

Ingredients

Method

Place the cream and milk into a bowl, sprinkle on the Gregg's Vanilla Crème Instant Dessert Mix and beat for 2 minutes. Fold in the passionfruit pulp and refrigerate for 2 minutes.

Stir the vanilla mix again then pour into the pie shell and refrigerate until firm.

Garnish with passionfruit pulp and serve with whipped cream.

Hints & Tips

To make your own pastry case; line a greased 22cm flan dish with shortcrust pastry. To bake blind; Place a piece of baking paper loosely on the pastry and weigh down with approximately 1 cup of rice. Bake at 190ºC for 10 to 15 minutes or until the pastry is light golden. When the pastry is cooked, gently lift off the baking paper and rice. The rice can be discarded or kept and used again.
