Sausage Rolls

Everyone loves sausage rolls and no Kiwi party, or morning tea would be complete without them! Use our easy recipe to make fabulous homemade sausage rolls, and as a finishing touch, serve with Gregg's Rich Red Tomato Sauce.

Ingredients

Method

Preheat the oven to 200°C.

Place the Gregg's Homestyle Stuffing Mix and the water in a large bowl. Add the remaining filling ingredients and mix well.

Lay out the pastry sheets and cut each in half.

Place some of the sausage mixture in the middle of each pastry half and shape into a sausage. Brush with milk on one side and roll the pastry around the mixture. Press the pastry together to seal.

Place the pastry seam under the sausage roll and cut each roll into 5 pieces. Brush the tops with milk and place on oven trays lined with baking paper.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 170°C and bake for a further 10 to 15 minutes.

Serve with Gregg's Rich Red Tomato Sauce.
