Syllabub is a traditional English dessert dating back to the
sixteenth century. This simple and elegant dessert is popular
for celebrations and special occasions.
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp caster sugar
- 3 Tbsp Cointreau or Grand Marnier
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp finely grated lemon zest
- 2 Tbsp orange juice
- 1/4 tsp Gregg's Ground Cardamom
- 1 cup cream
Method
Combine all the ingredients except the cream in a bowl and leave
to stand for 1-2 hours.
Whip the cream until lightly thickened. Add the fruit juice
mixture and whisk until the mixture just holds its shape.
Chill until ready to serve.
