Gregg's Curry Powder is made up of coriander seed, turmeric, cumin, fenugreek, ginger, black pepper, mustard, cassia, cayenne pepper and cloves. The complexity of the spice blend gives a well-rounded flavour.
For optimum results the spice blend is best fried initially in a little butter or oil, until it becomes fragrant. This can also be done by adding the curry powder to frying meat or vegetables before adding the rest of the recipe's ingredients. Aside from making a stewed-style curry, this spice blend will add interest to chopped boiled eggs, chicken with mayonnaise, homemade pickles or relishes and to gravy or sauces.
