An old favourite, these scones are great in lunch-boxes, or take to an impromptu picnic.
How to Cook
- Preheat oven to 200°C. Line a baking tray with baking paper or lightly dust with flour.
- Sift together the flour, Gregg's Ground Paprika, Gregg's Ground Cayenne Pepper and salt. Stir in ¾ cup of the cheese. Using your fingertips, rub in the butter until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
- Mix in enough milk to make a soft but not sticky dough. Pat out the dough on a lightly floured board and cut into portions. Place on baking tray and brush tops with milk then sprinkle with the remaining cheese and more paprika if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked.
