Gregg's Spaghetti Bolognaise

Everyone's family favourite!  This classic spaghetti bolognaise will bring the taste of Italy to your table. A perfect winter, mid week meal that will leave no one hungry. Delizioso!

How to Cook

  1. Heat the oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add the onion and Gregg's Crushed Garlic and cook, stirring, for 2 to 3 minutes or until the onion is soft. Add the mince and cook, stirring with a wooden spoon to break up any lumps, for 5 minutes or until the mince is browned.
  2. Add the Gregg's Tomato Paste, wine, tomatoes, Gregg's Rubbed Oregano, Gregg's Whole Bay Leaves and Gregg's Rubbed Sweet Basil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for one hour or until the sauce thickens. Remove the bay leaves. Taste and season with Gregg's Natural Sea Salt and Black Peppercorn Grinder.
  3. Serve over spaghetti and top with grated parmesan.


  • 1 Tbsp oil
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • ½ tsp Gregg's Rubbed Basil
  • 1 Tbsp Gregg's Rubbed Oregano
  • 3 Gregg's Whole Bay Leaves
  • 1 tsp Gregg's Crushed Garlic
  • 500 g beef mince
  • 1 50g sachet Gregg's Tomato Paste
  • 1 cup red wine, water or beef stock
  • 2 400g cans chopped tomatoes
  • Gregg's Natural Sea Salt, freshly ground, to season
  • Gregg's Whole Black Peppercorns, freshly ground, to season
